Well, it seems a little pitiful when you see it from his side but if you see it generally, like realistically, it's creepy and obsessive as hell. It's like those creeps we encounter sometimes who just can't take a "No" and play victim. This doesn't seem that bad, I even empathise him but it would've been weird in real life.
