He did but it was to help him in a way. Not the right way. Dane's way is better. It's harder though.
His parents had a reason for that though. All the kids are born a little off. Chase was the only normal one he was very empathic kid. But his siblings and parents didn't respond to that gentleness correctly. So he got warped as well mentally.
