But seriously, don’t you feel like the ending left WAY too many things unanswered? Like, what was that mysterious entity that kept attacking irae and killing her over and over again? What exactly did nia mean when she said that ‘entropy’ could consume the world? Is yohan actually entropy? What the hell is yohan, anyway? Why does he even exist in this world, and how is he capable of manipulating reality? And why is irae called a singularity?

Yohan's real name is Azathoth. Azathoth/Yohan is the creator of both mortals and cosmic beings living in this universe. Entropy is his awakening if Nai or his real name, Nyarlathothep (his spawn btw) don't feed him enough food. He can also wakes up if the lullaby of cosmic beings stop (tho this one is mostly headcanon or loosely imply by dream of kadath). If Yohan wakes up, our reality which is his dream would cease to exist.
In this interpretation of Azathoth, he's amused with Irae so that's just adding another thing on the list in keeping him asleep
Well, i guess this could be considered a happy ending if we didn’t know what actually happened and simply treated it like a novel, just as irae did in this timeline.
