Taekjoo avoided senseless violence because he knew he couldn't win at that moment; he possesses the training and skills of a Korean agent, whereas Zhenya is a Russian mobster capable of gouging out men's eyes and ripping out their tongues in a split second—even Taekjoo acknowledged the power gap between them. Besides, Taekjoo was busy this season getting the lay of the land and formulating plans; let's not forget that for a time, he was malnourished and deprived of sunlight and exercise. Anyway, Taekjoo does manage to escape the island soon, through cunning and effort, so there’s really no need for such impatience when the plot simply wouldn't work that way.
I stand with what I say tho I do agree that NOW he can't fight Zhenya at all, but to me it just doesn't make sense that Taekjoo couldn't win to Zhenya in ANYTHING. In the first chapters they sell you Taekjoo like this super impressive agent for just be another manwha were they downplay the characteristics of what they introduced to us first, Taekjoo isn't some damsel in need, he's supposed to be an elite agent that's trained to deal with the most difficult challenges, so, I do understand that Zhenya can be stronger in a lot of things, but in season one we could at least see Taekjoo as someone who can pull himself on his own even tho Zhenya was stronger, this second season all I see is how Taekjoo just suddenly became an ordinary person against a god, which doesn't make any sense, I do understand that he's malnourished and tired, that's why I understand why he's having a hard time escaping, but it just doesn't make sense to me to downplay his character so much when it's so rich, they could have added a lot more of interesting factors in the serie. The beginning started really good just to end up being the same plot as others, I'm just tired of seeing the same narrative over and over again in these types of manhwas. I started reading because I was captivated by Taekjoo and I thought that I was gonna be able get immersed in a rich story with complex characters just to be slapped with the same thing again.
So no, I'm not being impatient, I'm just disappointed it's another cliche that I already know how it'll end.
Can he beat him up already? Like, at this point being an agent has to be bullshit ain't no way you can't even win ONE thing against him, why do authors do this shit? They introduce at the beginning a super badass protagonist only to later make him completely useless, this started soooo interesting it's a shame they decided to fall into the same disappointing cliche
