Review (some spoilers)

Finally picked this back up and finished it! I’m glad it ended the way it did, I hate when they drag out the plot for like 400 chapters for no reason. First, I wish they included the smut in the main story, not just the side stories lol. Second, it was honestly completely unnecessary for this to be a reincarnation story, she never reveals that she remembers her past life and it’s barely touched on. They also mention the story’s female lead exactly once and never bring her up ever again lmao. I think there was a lot of potential to continue building on some of the side characters, like the jail keeper dude with the mask (we never really got to see his face or backstory), the dukes who are definitely gay, the prince after he wakes up, the palace’s alchemist dude, and the two lovers who were friends with the king. Same with the whole “transcendent” and “elementals” thing, I feel like it was a major plot point that kinda was just there with no reason. I imagine the novel probably goes into it in more detail, so not too bothered by it tho. There were also parts that just felt too convenient, like when they’re wearing the magic suppressing collars and only take it off after a battle is done, when you just needed someone else to take it off. Same with like the controlling necklace, like how did the seal get transferred from Rien to Valeta’s heart? And why was he so casual about losing it lmao. Despite the plot holes and parts that were glossed over, I still enjoyed it tho and would reread if I feel bored. Overall 7.5/10

I forgot to mention but also the child of the two lovers, I felt like he got completely glossed over too when he’s literally the half brother
