People really need to stop lumping Ordin and Fenrir into the same "toxic" category, because they aren't even remotely the same. Pretending Ordin is the better endgame just because he’s "sane" completely misses the point—if anything, Ordin’s sanity makes his behavior so much worse. He’s a fully conscious, calculating duke who willingly uses his high intellect to manipulate Jarn, exploit his search for his aunt, and treat him like an expendable pawn in palace politics. And please, don't even bring up that one time Ordin literally jumped in front of danger for Jarn like it completely wipes his slate clean throwing yourself into a crisis you largely caused with your OWN messy politics doesn't make you a saint LMAOO, it just makes you responsible for your own circus. PREACH.
Fenrir, on the other hand, is a literal beast who was trapped and abused by the very system Ordin profits from, yet his instincts toward Jarn are driven by pure, UNCALCULATED loyalty. While Ordin uses Jarn as a tool, Fenrir offers him a genuine safe haven free from aristocratic mind games, prioritizing Jarn's safety and loving him unconditionally from the start. Fenrir absolutely deserves Jarn because he’s the only one who treats him like a true partner rather than a subordinate, which is why a solo Fenrir endgame would have been the ultimate healing and freedom. Forcing Jarn into a polyamorous ending just to accommodate his former oppressor completely dilutes Jarn's journey—honestly, Jarn deserved a loyal, loving partner who saw him as his whole world, not a corporate-style performance review with a duke who FINALLY learned what basic human empathy is after 80 chapters of being an absolute menace. Like ordin glazer's gotta be sick in the head or have some kind of nasty fetish....
