I think its bc she never had the chance. A mother or female relative wouldve and shouldve taken her to tea parties and gatherings to let her experience being around other women and preparing her for society (men dont need such preparation so they forget its a necessary stepping stone). Phil ran away before her debut then when she returned and the emperor bday happened (which was also her debut in a way) her bio-dad made the announcement. She was able to talk to some girls but never had the chance to form bonds with them by attending tea parties and gatherings. It's the men's fault and the nanny too for not stepping forward but i think Phil also rejected the opportunity to meet others growing up except her fiance but that was one meeting where she didnt have much choice in. Being a princess and now at the magic tower and her unique position makes any other girl not wanna approach her by of society or fear (lol) not sure about the magic tower you'll think there would be women there but theyre adults and are busy working and researching. I remember back in college I never had time to hang out bc I was so busy. So I imagine living and working at the tower doesnt allow much free time especially if the heads (her dad and brother) are busying catching up as it is. I do like how this is realistic in that way and wish there was a friend or 3 around. Weirdly Phil as the princess should've had ladies in waiting but again I think she ran off before her coming of age and when she wouldve had responsibilities so she never got to experience that part of her life yet
I find it so bizarre that MCs normally have only men with them. Like male friends, male family members, and obviously all the ML and 2nd ML and yada yada.
