The plot is so weird. First of all there is not enough build-up of FLs suffering. You only see a bit of what had happened to her in like 4 panels and then she dies. In that short amount of time I can not identify with FL and develop any sympathy for her at all. And ML who couldn't give a single f@%# about her all these years, reads her diary (which only says that she wants to act the perfect empress... nothing more) and is suddenly overcome by guilt? Like... why? Why would he feel that way from that shitty journaling?
The way the author handled it failed to stir anything in me. I have read enough emotionally taxing stories to know how it's done.
And the contract doesn't make any sense either. Also how can ML ascend the thrown with his father still alive. I am so confused with this word building....
I will drop it here. I feel like I will get a brain bleed if I continue any further.
