He can’t read her mind but she’s the only person that he can really see without blur. Her eyes was his very first color so he gets lost in them a lot in the story. But as for magical powers, he doesn’t have any as of right now but later on he gets a power that’s really different

Is it true that varkas can read minds? And that's why he chooses thalia in the end? Or at least influence his decision? Was it because ayla was too much two faced?
I only read this spoiler somewhere in ig comments but nobody really talks about it
