It's pure SA til ~chap 30, then it gets explained why ML acts that way, meanwhile we experience MC developing stockholm syndrome. What we get out of it is the usual kidnapperXkidnapped couple trope. Your choice. If I had to choose again, I'd not start reading it again tbh.

If you are into deep,psychological story,,,then it might be for you,,,pure Stockholm Syndrome btw like vivarium,,but the kidnapper topped the hostage instead,,(and that also makes it sa/rape)
