I think hyunmook only lasted for as long as he did just because of his natural tolerance to corruption, but I don’t think his teammates had the same fate. I means that’s pretty obvious I feel from seeing the last panel, but also, if hyunmook tracked down MC from seeing “light” the other would have saw it too, coming to the same area is they were corrupted but still “human”- but they didn’t. Imagine how hard that must be for hyunmook, knowing that his comrades were still “alive” and roaming the abyss as ‘monsters’. And he must have seen them turn into this first hand if he knows where they are, and what happened to them. I wouldn’t be surprised is he wanted to just succumb to the corruption to just forget everything.
