the flashbacks were to put a point for the proposal. It's not bad per se, to do that much for a narrative standpoint, but somehow it felt like it came out of left field for my taste.
would've been nice if it was sprinkled in during the first season. Because the timeline during that period were more on the kid side of things and naturally one would think they lost each other as kids than middle school age (still holding my cane that they did not look like middle school)
