Same! It's honestly my favorite to see incremental emotional development mixed with a ton of nasty sex. This series is scratching a slow burn itch
yess this exactly!! Every time they have sex I keep catching little things they do/say differently and it gets me kicking my feet
I love that it's this slow, because we know that it's because Charcoal is so emotionally detached (and hung up on his ex). It would be annoying if his character was compromised for a plot that moves quicker!
Im really enjoying the slow burn personally, I eat up the little changes in both of their behaviors, the concessions Charcoal makes and how oblivious and pushy Sunny is. Every chapter has felt like progress to me because they're slowly going from an awful starting note incrementally to here where they're basically spending all their time together
