I LOVE THEM -- I am sad that the investigator had to become the antagonist to make the beloved black flag couple look more ethical. The author definitely isn't great at spending time and energy on developing side characters. Regardless 5/5 stars. Unique and original concept that stays true to its core themes throughout the story. TRUE and GREAT representation of a black flag relationship, although it becomes a bit more yellow/green at the end. REMEMBER GIRLS, A GOOD BLACK FLAG ML/FL IS A MORALLY UNETHICAL/AMBIGUOUS PERSON! NOT AN ABUSIVE PARTNER!! (I will kill everyone who touches you vibes, not I will kill you for touching me!) Very consistent general development of the characters. At the end, everything made sense, albeit a little more explanation/detail wouldn't hurt. This story could use some side stories to give the audience a little more to chew on, regarding the couple's future. Of course, the open-ended conclusion we got is good as well. In my head-canon, they live out most of their human lives together. Then, Satan turns Hilda into a demon, and they eventually return to hell hand-in-hand. They frequently visit Earth. Honestly, their future would be a great sequel LMAO.
