I’m pretty sure it’s been explained that he was just aloof to most people but he showed more care for the common people and worked hard for them, I think it’s just his personality as an introvert lololol

I solely started this manhwa not bc of the MC but the ML that everyone has been bashed around for who knows how long. Saying he’s bland and a nothing burger. And after a full read though, I have to say .. I don’t see it ?
Idk if that’s due to my own taste, because of how unproblematic or should I say.. not that much “negatively affecting the plot” he is, I don’t find him uninteresting at all.
In fact, I REALLY like how they make his love for her went from fear -> curiosity to being interested in a way of seeing a eldritch creature then saying “Would” lmao
Yes he isn’t as interesting as the majority of the cast, but that was because he’s a normal man among what seems “inhuman” and her TOTALLY NOT HUMAN servants
The only thing I can see making him stand out from the rest of the side casts is how he is not blindly devoted to her, but have to take time, internal conflict, confusion, even doubt for his own benefactor and multiple times of seeing her doing good deeds in order to reach the conclusion of “she’s not a bad person”. And I think it’s a good development seeing we’re not even half way through the story
