There were too many gaps and differences in Yuwon and Dohun’s povs in the past I began to question whether some memories were actually with each other and not moments he had with someone else with Dohun’s face plastered on them. The discrepancies brought me back to both the wish Dohun made to take away his misfortunes and Yuwon’s belief that there is still good in the world. I can’t help but think Dohun and Seungmin are both stand ins for someone else, the person Yuwon that actually took care of the bullies, his real hero. If Seungmin serves as a reminder that there are still good people in the present then who was the person that stood for that in the past?
The wish only takes things a step further by using Dohun to cover them up he’s making sure he’s playing the part Yuwon wanted him to play: the good guy. He willfully lets the misfortunes/trauma fall on him but in doing so he’s ensuring the original person he replaced is let off and remains the good guy in Yuwon’s eyes. Idk if that made sense in other words he’s the replacement and the sacrifice to him. I think whoever they’re replacing plays a big part in how he thinks and behaves with Seungmin. He’s so dependent on him he even stated that he’s the reason he can breathe. I can’t help but think there was trauma and maybe even a codependent relationship between Yuwon and the og person. Idk just theories though.

In chapters 76 Dohun says in his time away it was common to see people that banged their heads on the wall and spoke amongst themselves as if someone was there. He insists he never had to do drugs to hallucinate Yuwon there is one instance however where his face is warped. We then see a bruise on Dohun’s forehead this scene stuck out to me did he begin to bang his head in attempt to see Yuwon clearly? What does this mean to Yuwon who’d do the same even whilst Dohun lay next to him? What could he be trying to remember or who
Edit bc I began to overthink and can’t stop myself: I think the reason Yuwon bangs his might have to do with his belief of their being good ppl out there bc his parents. He doesn’t even bring it up in his memories yet he still projected himself unto a random girl passing by with her parents (Ch 55 vs 73) I felt that was a way of showing that the belief is buried deep down somewhere but his mind won’t allow him to fully remember. He mentions before that Seungmin satisfied his needs. It seems to me the little time they spent together served as a reminder to him that there is still good in the world. He’s rather naive isn’t he? To trust someone so deeply that you refuse to see the bad in them will only lead to disappointment. What if Seungmin is a reflection of someone from the past? We don’t know how many times this outlook has left Yuwon vulnerable to being taken advantage of.
