The start is pretty good and the academy wasn't super bad but there IS a harem element that's getting more noticable in recent chapters. So it's gotten a little harder to read but imo at least the start is worth it
So far the story has 4 arcs, the first two being VERY GOOD! the third being pretty good, and the fourth (which is currently in progress) is dragging a bit. In each of these arcs there's a love interest introduced but the Vikir, the MC, has no romantic interest in any of them (so far). Because of the romantic shoehorning happening there are some harem clichés that are annoying. The story and MC have done nothing to forward any genuine romance so the plot points of a lot of the female love interest characters fall flat which leads most of them to be pretty boring.
Aside from that, the art is EXCELLENT and the action is entertaining! But every time Vikir makes progress and gets stronger something always happens to put him near square one again which can be really annoying. In the first 3 arcs I didn't mind that method since he was still using techniques he learned from old enemies to beat the new ones but in this latest arc (the 4th arc) he is like a blank slate and it's making the story feel slow since he has to build up from square one in an environment that will not exist past this arc.
If you read all this and still want to read it I would highly recommend! The first 3 arcs are really enjoyable! And while the fourth arc sucks rn I have hope that it'll find it's footing and speed up soon.
