Wow this was done so extremely well, the art alone made it so immersive but the story really drove my heart. Like there were moments where I thought things would get extremely grim or berserk but it always surprised me with the rather humane approach to it all and how the feeling of melancholy was done so extremely well, which I feel like is so rarely done right! I think the only thing I would have loved more is to see more adventures of Mori and Ryder on their way to “mom” but as the creator did say, it was never meant to be a long story~~ I just loved the moments where characters would experience a heightened emotion and the art style would become so detailed and beautiful!
