Because one of the main character has fire fighter as his occupation? Not sure where you got the sex rape from but these guys are still normal guys doing their job (except Grayson). Their toxic masculinity is mostly hating nepotism which is expected from a job where special exam must be passed and suddenly a guy join by being rich.
and why use this plot when every firefighter keeps having parties and getting drunk? does the author not research he/she just think lowly of this profession?
They have one party to welcome Grayson at the beginning and 1 recently to be closer to Grayson since he said people are misunderstanding him? Isnt this socializing? And they are fully grown adult, going to drink or clubbing after work doesnt make them irresponsible
