I thinks it's allowed in most of the world. In Europe, Canada and I think Australia have (in my opinion) have incredibly low standars of who can apply, so they were scandalous for some years. The rest of the world tends to give the option of euthanasia for people with medically proven chronic and orphan illnesses or disabilities such as paraplegia.

Maybe it was just the DNR. The euthanasia it's my assumption from how suicidal he was shown through the chapters and how much empathized the parase "juast a little longer..." + the title xd
