Technically, if they were to run away a broad, there's a high chance the grandfather will pay someone to hunt them down which is very dangerous and risky, you think the grandfather won't do anything just because they're not in the country any more considering how he paid someone to make Harbor suffered and almost had Harbor raped? I think not, also as for the blinddate thing, look at my comment above you, I have the theory for that

Pretending to be in a relationship or marriage with someone who's playing along, while being separated from the person they love and constantly hurting over it isn't actually better than an actual opportunity at a life somewhere abroad. And please, like the grandfather is gonna find them anywhere in the world? That's just an absurd excuse to keep milking the story
I'm not saying it's better but there's a lot of people in history who've definitely been hunted down despite running far away and leaving behind no traces and yet they're still found in the end, I'm not defending the author but if you look at Taesung and Haebom perspective, do you think they'll be able to live happily out of the country while living in fear of being found ?and what about their friends and family, worse they'll be held captive in their place instead, you gotta think about it thoroughly, you can't just say it's easier to run away. They have to try and take care of the situation there and then if they wanna live without fear, running away is a last resort
And this situation doesn't warrant a last resort choice? Are we even reading the same story? How will this provide actual resolution? What do you think would guarantee their safety against the grandfather while they're actually together in there country? Also, being away from family is a null point bc they've hardly been in touch with the parents this whole arc, so according to the author's own portrayal, why would that be a deciding factor for choosing to stay in such a horrific, dead-end situation? As for friends, I'm sure that for both of them it'd be a worthy sacrifice at least for a while or until the grandfather kicks the bucket. The author went for shock value, constant conflict and the most ludicrous route to what I presume to be a nonsensical resolution after a whole lot more of angst inducing events, lack of direct communication, while the characters' plans and motivations are kept a (poorly hidden) mystery. There's no "perspective" that can explain this mess.
Right when I thought "oh, this trainwreck is starting to go somewhere" BAM! Taesung thinks the solution is to get married to somebody else to appease his grandfather so he'd let Haebom off the hook? THAT'S BETTER THAN RUNNING OFF SOMEWHERE ABROAD TOGETHER?!?! This is such BS, can the author get any freaking worse with their ideas for this story?
