It's all about personal taste, but we need to see Dohyun's POV and why he is like this. We know very little about his character/past/inner thoughts, and the whole story is from Wooyeon's POV. Yeah, he is mysterious and deep—that's why I like him and I don't find him boring at all. For example, I find MLs like Eunsan boring.

I get that he has trauma, but that doesn't excuse the lack of basic manners. Just imagine just meeting someone for the first time, who is automatically a dick to you for no reason, but then they excuse it by ,,Oh but he has trauma so it's okay" that's not how it works. And Yeowoo being okay with it, is also terrible.
And yeah I've read what will happend, Dohyun absolutely is a redflag, like wtf dude

Oh Wooyeon was the one who didn't want to bring up the past again when he reunited with Dohyun after those 4 years. In his POV, Dohyun mentions that since Wooyeon seemed not to want to talk about their past, he respected that decision and acted as if it were a fresh start for both of them. Dohyun wasn't in love with Wooyeon at that moment, but he wanted to have a good relationship with him and make up for the past. That's why he helped him with his studies in university and took care of him with food treats, besides letting him into his car (something Dohyun wouldn't let ANYONE get into).
Finally, he realizes his feelings for Wooyeon, and right after that, he receives a phone call from Wooyeon's mother asking to meet him in person after those 4 years. Dohyun agreed, but when they met face to face, she told him to stay away from her son. She was angry at him for all the pain he caused Wooyeon in the past but WE DON'T FORGET WOOYEON WAS A MINOR !!!!!
Anyways, even though Dohyun wanted to give up on Wooyeon, his feelings were stronger.
The second time Dohyun visited Wooyeon's mother is when he told her he's in a relationship with WY and he asked for permission and told her Wooyeon was in his house. Also, Dohyun begged her to let him explain it to herson himself about the truth, promising that he would never hurt Wooyeon in the future. His only mistake was not telling him right away that he worked for his mom (Still, in the present, he no longer worked for the chairwoman; there was no longer any tie between them) when he was tutoring Wooyeon in the past, but it's something he always wanted to fix and bring up since they FIRST MET. Wooyeon's mother took advantage of this and told Wooyeon before Dohyun could explain it himself (Only because she wants Wooyeon to stay in the main house) that Dohyun worked for her when Wooyeon was 16 years old but he regrets that he did. It was also because Wooyeon's mom in the past helped Dohyun get adopted by a good family. That's why he always wanted to be a good son, maintained good grades, all because of his trauma of not wanting anyone else to abandon him. And it's understandable because his own biological parents abandoned him at age 8. He has a deep fear of abandonment and was always afraid of disappointing Wooyeon and being abandoned by him. HIS BIGGEST FEAR.
Anyway, if you read the novel, you see how he shows a great character growth and that he has fears just like any human being. But he NEVER wanted to hurt the only person he ever loved. I don't think he's a RED flag. He loves Wooyeon so much it's insane.
Yeah that's valid I've read abt his past and he's a well written character overall. It was okay, not a bad story, but I wasn't talking abt that.
My critisim, or rather pet peeve, bc it's not a serious flaw, is abt the smoothness of dialogs and how the characters speak. Maybe it's bc I'm abt their age, but I know people irl don't talk like that. I know it's really hard to mimic real conversations, usually the dialogs will sound a little bit artificial, but when I find a story where I can feel that yes this is how siblings/best friends would talk to each other, how someone experienced who had countless partners during their youth would flirt, the standard will skyrocket.
It'd probably bothered me less if I couldn't compare it to Omega complex, which portrayed the flirty, cheeky and self assured Dohyun so much better.
They're not very "normal" people themselves.... Wooyeon's real age is 18 (Korean age 20) he's too young and his family is definitely not normal. He is too naive for his age, and wary of others.
Dohyun on the other hand is someone that had never fallen in love before and that's okay. Minjeong said to him he's not the romantic type. He never invited someone inside his house, he was very private before.
Oneulbom said Dohyun only has sex partners. Older people than him were his type before.
Dohyun in Omega Complex was very young, a freshman and the youngest along his sunbaes. Now he's the senior and Club President. The circumstances are different now.
And ohhh we are definitely going to see more flirty and thirsty Dohyun from now on that they're officially dating and the hungry wolf he REALLY is
Maybe I compare it too much to Melting point, but this feels kinda forced. I'm sure it's hard to write smooth natural flirt like Eunsan, but when Dohyun is presented as this ethereal mysterious mr. perfect who always knows what's up it's kinda hard to actualy present it in the actual story.
It also doesn't help that MC is the stereotypical femboy Y/N and nothing more. Look nothing wrong with femboys or emotional men, I actually prefer them myself, it's just that in story like this it's pretty obvious they just made him "more feminine" bc he's an uke and I'm really ove this trope. Like give me my baby uke's but don't forget they're also men, so why is it that the seme always has those stereotypically masculine traits, and uke the stereotypically feminine?
Also those new chapters reminded me that Taegyon is kind of a jerk. I totoally forgot abt it after finishing Omega complex, but this dude is a dick to people who aren't his boyfriend. What a red flag.
The last one is a pet peeve but their poses are so stiff, like when Dohyun was talking with the girl, they looked like to figurines standing in front one another, not like actual people having conversation after few drinks. Overall I think even the main characters don't really have typical gestures or habits that would make them feel more human. I get that it's kinda a fantasy, but I prefer stories where I can imagine those characters can live somewhere irl.
Overall still a good story, I'll read it without being extra mad.
