It's more like the adaptation of the novel isn't that good. The story itself is indeed very complicated with many things happening at once and a lot of things not yet obviously connected with each other. It all comes together in the end beautifully. It's really a pity that the adaptation doesn't do the story justice. Because even the smallest things said in passing or seemingly for a joke relief actually play an important part in the story as a whole.
So I came here to ask if the story got confusing or I'm just stupid... but I can see confused comments so I guess it's not just me lol. But the story got soooo convoluted, so many characters and stuff, I think it's taking away from enjoyment of the story. Idk if it's how complicated it is, or it's just not told very well
