so like are we supposed to feel bad for the ml here…??? is his sad backstory supposed to make it seem like everything is ok.. are we forgetting the fact that locked up, confined, abused, and continuously raped the mc? why does it feel like the author was trying to make the ml seem like the victim when the mc was the one who was gangraped and abused TWICE. ml had no redemption arc at all and was chosen at the end because “he has no one else with him” which ig is his whole backstory/trauma BUT ARE WE FORGETTING THE FACT THAT ALMOST ALL OF MC’s TRAUMA WAS CAUSED BY ML’s SELFISHNESS??????
