Let's not forget that the father cheated while Ideum was having open-heart surgery, and the father dared to blame it on both the mom (nagging) and drowning in Ideum's medical bills. The dad cheated because he "needed to breathe, to stay sane." That is such a poor excuse for a father and a man. Of course, it didn't help Ideum's mental health to argue in the house where they could be heard by him. So Ideum lived in his own fantasies created in his head to escape the shitty reality that he was living with his parents.
I'm surprised Jaeyi(ML/Top) has the door code to Ideum's (MC/bottom) place; they're just fuck buddies/FWB. Jaeyi even spends the night, takes a shower there, and has a toothbrush!!! What's next? Getting a drawer and leaving clothes at Ideum's place? When Jaeyi lives just across from Ideum's building? That is a totally weird situationship/FWB. He just comes and goes as he pleases....
Now the meeting with the mother, uggg, I just wanted to slap her in the face! What kind of parent blames their child for them feeling "lonely"? WTF? If you're lonely or having issues, get therapy, talk to someone; your child is not responsible for your emotional well-being. Ideum was just a sick child!!! heart surgery, a major one! It sucks that Ideum has no support whatsoever; he is such an introvert with self blame is just a recipe for disaster and self-harm. Jaeyi has his own issues as well; he's not a happy person, changes partners frequently, and doesn't take responsibility for why the "relationship" ended. It takes two people to be in a relationship... I feel like Ideum and Jaeyi are going to trauma bond due to their own particular trauma, which is not a good thing.
