I feel like one of the reasons that might be is because Gintoki x Hijikata is more popular/has more doujins. I have scoured mrm for doujins of Hijikata x Gintoki, but it paled in comparison to Gintoki x Hijikata. I'm guessing ppl were expecting Gintoki to top Hijikata in this doujin as well.
oooh- I guess that I crossed around HijixGin doujins first and got hooked for that to be their set dynamic. Did not even pay attention to others as I was looking for works like this author. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
nah- do others really want gintoki to top? Never saw it like that. This author's art is so peak that i cant picture otherwise their dynamic.
