Im pretty sure the reason that Dohuns motives seem all over the place is because Yuwon has been confirmed to be an unreliable narrator by the author so when reading his pov at the begining dohun doesnt seem to have a solid motive for why he treats Yuwon in such an abusive manner but later on we learn that Yuwons perspective is obscured and also that Dohun grew up learning this abusive behavior from the people around him and that he hasnt learnt to treat people any differently. I do think he is an extremely complex character though and i was close to dnf this manwha before we started to learn about there history together.

also what is it with Dohun? I genuinely think this is the first time I see a character like him. His reasons, compared to others, are very very simple, like having a house with Yuwon. He has gone through so much with his family, yet when we see his pov, he often “shows” indifference, only caring for what matters to him, which is Yuwon. Naturally I thought he’d have more feelings such as resentment or revenge because of what others do to him, but he doesn’t have that. He has that feeling for people that hurt Yuwon, though. And he manages to do well in life, by surviving that family of his, by surviving school and not become an object of bullying, and surviving workplace. His personality is so contradictive to Yuwon. I find this fascinating and wondering a character like Dohun.
