love Compton so much now, his story is so tragic. him and Garam being character foils of each other through their relationship with Heejae Compton as the first student to ever experience Heejaes knife and Garam as the last one and the one to dull his sharp blade even by a lil bit and how it affects them as individual characters. Plus it’s not like Heejae favouring Garam is a new thing that only started when they started dating, it’s been a thing since the very beginning either, so from the very start of their relationship with Heejae, Compton and Garam were never in the same playing field and the end of the chapter amplify that for me
Also it’s very realistic that Heejae is still winning in life despite all the abuse he’s ditched out on people simply bc of his influence and talent
