I understand ML's intention, but it's so badly expressed in many ways lmfao. Like yes, he doesn't want MC to suffer, but his method were deceiving and he's literally making a complete fool out of MC. It's a form of control, in a sense. From MC's point of view, that's betrayal and it shows ML has no trust in MC to stand on his own feet. Yeomin's trying his best and has been surviving despite the many obstacles he was facing before meeting ML. Not only that, but Yeomin has a history of being abandoned, so he probably doesn't want to be dependent on ML in fear of he will be abandoned soon by him. If he becomes dependent on ML, he might not be able to stand on his own. I think ML should've been more understanding and patient of Yeomin's situation. He could've offerred him a better paying part time job, but he's way too possessive of him and full of himself to understand kfkfkdkdk
