As a novel reader it was most definitely a random scene added in they had more interactions and relationship building in the novel until they got to any point of an actual relationship so idk what’s going on here anymore
The smut felt random?? I'm down for smut but this story seemed like slow burn meant to develop later so now I'm confused. I heard the novel wasn't like this so if they wanted to make smut scenes this early on why not make it a dream?
Adding smut in a slower story isn't necessarily bad but you can do it in a way that doesn't feel randomly pasted in. If you suddenly add smut without build up in a slow story it's going to absolutely look like it got shoved in there last second
Anyways it looks like for the most part the smut didn't really do anything good or bad like they just added it because they wanted to have smut and it looks like the pacing might go back to normal, but I'm gonna be so irritated if next season they make it so they get freaky like a bunch of times but then he still believes it's one sided love afterwards. Fuck and get together or don't fuck at all !!
