Exactly! People even hating on the sequel for having multiple endings have the same attitude. Forgetting this isn't made for manga fans alone but, also the otome players. Actually the manga was a mean to lure the readers to get the games.
Same on hating on the author who btw isn't the one who decide what to write and how to write it since except for the character design, CGs, manga artist, they don't own the story. They may suggest scenarios but, in the end what comes to consumers is decrees by the owners of the serie.
It's the same thing with Harukanaru toki no naka de manga, which is supervised by the same person who is in charge of Kiniro no corda. There the story is very "safe" too heck there's not even an endgame LIs... Anyway by writing alone its very showcase the LIs but, not show the good part of their story or their romance scenarios. Just tease the reader with what kind of lis they so they later play the game.
I think a lot of ppl fail to realise this is an otome game and not an actual manga
