Sorry, I exaggerated quite a bit. But basically he did spend 1 chapter gutting and butchering the deer. And then after that he went on a little adventure to find seasoning for the deer meat, and then spends the last chapter explaining in detail how he made sausage out of the leftover parts
Which was cute but wasn’t rlly what I was looking for when I started the novel
prolly just gutting the deer lololol i tried reading the novel a bit ago too and it was like 3-4 chaps of them in the restaurant with very descriptive details of everything he was eating

Turns out in the novel, Jio spent like 5 entire chapters gutting and processing the deer? I got worried about the pacing and stopped reading haha… if anyone would like to vouch for the novel’s future pacing tho I’d be happy to give it another chance
