i don't fucking understand.. Yeomin doesn't want to be helped?

I think it’s less that he doesn’t want to be helped and more that everything he thought he knew wasn’t the way it was and he worked really really hard for the scholarship and thought he made a big achievement but it turns out that none of his effort even mattered in the end. Any other refusal for assistance is honestly just pride on his part but I understand feeling crushed after learning your effort amounted to nothing because the outcome was predetermined.

He worked so hard balancing multiple part time jobs and studying without any time for fun or hanging out with classmates or make friends. If he only got that scholarship bc of Mister then what was all that hard work he had to endure for?? He could've slack off and enjoy life if his scholarship was gonna get paid and preselected.
