Maybe an unpopular opinion but his crash out was valid. He is here on his supposed day off with no manager so his partner had to be his manager and is putting in all this effort for something that he doesn’t even wanna do and someone else is messing him around by being late and not planning things appropriately? If you’re going to the hospital and you have the ability to tell people what’s going on, do so. What it sounds like from the way the staff was and ML was, it seems like the hospital was a regular appointment/check up and NOT an emergency so why should he be forced to be patient over that? Of course he was wrong for screaming at a staff member who was there before he was and equally doesn’t wanna be there but his actual sentiment isn’t wrong per se. If this was me and I was put in that position, I’d just calmly go over to whoever is the most senior/high up person there is and let them know that my time is valuable and I refuse to be disrespected by being made to wait on something I am doing as a favour and that I’m leaving and that they will be receiving my invoice for being called out and for my time being wasted for hours. Then I’d call my ceo and let them know that if they don’t get me a proper manager by tomorrow, I will be cancelling all of my schedules until I get a proper manager. He could have handled this so professionally and in a way that people would think twice before even considering messing him around but instead, he had to yell at a staff member :(( even if he had yelled at the director, I would have been fine with that but the poor staff didn’t deserve that. It’s not their job to manage the talents.
