Honestly I understand the anger, imagine working so hard for something while getting shit just because ur useless father left u with so much debt and a hard life. That scholarship was like a sign to him that things were turning around and his hard work was paying off, he truly thought even if his feelings weren’t reciprocated, his life took a turn for the better, and not only that but more importantly that he EARNED and worked hard for everything. To be shamed and to find out u didn’t earn something so big IS a valid reason to be pissed, me personally I’d feel like a dumbass and stupid because it makes u question everything.
