Baby talk is not beneficial to babies. It is recommended that you talk to them normally for various reasons.
Actually that’s not true, they’ve even done scientific studies on the benefits. “Parentese” helps babies and toddlers learn language by using higher pitches, slower tempos, shorter sentences, and simplified words which improves social, linguistic, and cognitive development (⌒▽⌒)
You might be correct... I read a few articles (3) on different studies on the topic. Althrough they don't don't directly replace the studies done many years ago that is published in many human development textbook (north America textbooks) they do show that "babies like 'baby talk'... and their brains show an advanced response to the higher pitched voice". The only caveat is that those those studies only study infants up to 9 months, not when toddlers start talking. I was referring to babies language development i.e their abilities to speak and form sentences.
If you happen to know of a more recent study on that, please share, I would love to read it.

Here’s a study of IDS on people learning a foreign language, fascinating! I recently read a different study that shows adults can learn foreign languages if they are taught through “hearing” immersion like children do, it is the most effective way to learn a new language.
