FYI, the longest official world record for no sleep is currently held by Robert MacDonald, who stayed awake for 18 days and 21 hours in 1986. The previous record was held by Randy Gardner in 1964; he was 17 years old and stayed awake for 11 days and 29 minutes. The category was discontinued by the Guinness World Records due to safety concerns.
