Idk dude considering the latest raw chapter, garam is not that kind of person who will put that issue aside just because thats his man causing it
Sometimes to love someone you need to accept they won’t change. I think this is something Garam figured out a long time ago. I don’t think it’s as if garam doesn’t care about heejae being an ass, more so he knows it’s an innate quality of his and instead focuses on nurturing the “gentle” side of heejae that has also always been there, just buried. He knows heejae is a knife, has been one of his abuse victims, and got with him anyway, leaving him now would reverse all the progress made to dull the knife and would only sharpen it further.
Heejae will be an ass regardless of if garam is with him or not, he’ll just be much less of one and has the chance to see through his wrongs if garams by his side instead. It’s really the less of two evils.
Oh yeah really good point. I think thats also the reasons why we love this mahwa sm because we know that the professor aint turning a new leaf just because he got with the mc (as most of the other stories are lol) but yeah garam aint dumb and self aware enough to know heejae that much im just ughhh frustrated with heejae CAUSE HES SUCH AN ASS OMFGGG

this webtoon protrayal of an abuser is gold. Heejae is someone of privilege, talented and rich but he choose to be an asshole and abusive to the point of driving someone to lose their passion and traumatised them to the point of depression. And true to life, he gets away with it because he is talented, rich and with enough connections to make his abuse seems like a normal thing. Garam didn’t change him for the better either
The latest chapter just solidified it. Heejae knew what he done to Compton - that sort of injury and abuse will drive anyone to hate piano. Instead of acknowledging, he probably felt pride of causing such injury and blaming his victim for choosing to leave. I wonder if Garam will find out the extend of Heejae’s past and what will he do about it. But at this point, Garam probably won’t mind being with him because as long as Heejae is affectionate with him while being an asshole and a bully to others because that’s heejae problem and not his.
