I understand she was pressed for time but the way she pushed her kid, the way she talks about her family and stuff it rubs me the wrong way, I get being worried for the kid but my guy, 2 of the 4 people you talking about being so bad in that family are like.. YOUR KIDS?
It'd be another story if she was specifically referring to the adults in the house because she does make a point to mention her own maid who she likes
Before I thought it was a translation issue (it might still be I'm not 100% sure)
My thoughts on Astrid is that she has no right to talk about the family she doesn't wanna be apart of anymore like they are the odd ones out when she is just as rash and as tunnel visioned as they are, infact she fits right in with them.
Also a little more to add for the story overall, that curse that hides the Duke's family's emotions or makes it hard for them to identify it, does it rub off at some point because the previous Duke seems.. well aware of his wants, just really stubborn and headstrong? The only person in the story who acts like they don't have emotions or can't feel em is the Duke himself? I could just not understand the explanation given before fully over how the curse doesn't actually remove their emotions
