i feel like side stories used to j be additions or extras to the main story, but a lot of the manhwas i've read this year/the last (considering how long manhwas take to complete), the side stories feel like either a whole new season/are spin-offs. maybe i'm j used to mangas? i'm not complaining about more content, it's j sometimes i don't expect heavy topics that i feel would've been more appropriate as a part of the main story compared to as a side story. sometimes these heavy topics don't get their justice either when it's j a side story too, but maybe that's why & it j lets the author share a bit without having the responsibility to make it as exciting & thrilling as the main story?
