Erha Adaptation

Okay giving my two cents that nobody asked for here since the Danmei subreddit locked the Erha post lol

I’ll preface by saying I like viewfinder and crimson spell tho I can’t lie it’s probably been more than 5 years since I read them or anything by Yamane Ayano.

I am a little skeptical on how this adaptation will go. I know the source material is different, but Yamane Ayano tends to write the same character relationship dynamics ( with some variation and as far as I remember) this concerns me a little because, while I do think she can adapt the first parts of the novel, I am concerned if she’s able to do it faithfully for the later half.

I could be wrong here so if she’s played with similar relationships dynamics before I am just not remembering let me know.

I guess my concern is that she’ll “Asamify” Mo ran for the later half of the novel, which doesn’t really fit (at least up to volume 7, which is how far I have read)

My other concern is how she’ll handle chu wanning. I feel like to some degree Chu wanning has an a more emotionally delicate personality that is proud and in a sense dignified so I’m not sure how successfully she can adapt that. (If there’s one thing about her bottom, they don’t know the meaning of dignity lmaooo)

Maybe im just getting ahead of myself and seeing viewfinder in the Erha art that was posted. Time will tell.

As for the art itself. I think her art is more expressive and strong which Danmei fans are not used to. Danmei art tends to have more delicate soft art styles. I think that might be what ignites a lot of the discourse on the art. I’m not too particularly concerned with that because I know the smut is gonna EAT. I
do like her art a lot in crimson and viewfinder (Hopefully all the characters don’t look the same. I’m being shady I know lol)

I am planning to give it the benefit of the doubt when it comes comes out because I love Erha, so I guess we’ll see then
