this is so funny to me because youre asking this on an illegal platform…….. where translations are often done by volunteers or fans who arent obligated to do so……
im not even part of a scanlation group, but i think its pretty easy to understand why translating manga/manhwa takes a long time??? im quite flabbergasted seeing this question, sorry lol. maybe whats visible on the surface is just “translating,” but scanlation includes proofreading, typesetting, editing, and all that kind of stuff, and i am 100% sure translating even one panel already takes quite a bit of time
a lot of people arent aware that localizing a language is actually pretty difficult. i often read kr raws and realize that a lot of the kr manhwa i read just dont hit the same once theyre translated into english. if youve ever read raws and tried translating them using a machine like google translate or other automatic translating app, you will notice that the language is still pretty stiff and often doesnt rlly make sense. tbh from that point, i think you can understand why translating is difficult.

Why do English translators on here take so long to translate raws when there’s so many chapters left to translate? And I mean like once a week
