Bet, we do have the same idea on this. I'm just thinking that since he love's him deeply and accepted him after what happened with the manager -- he acknowledged those scars as a 'pain/misery' which he inflicted to garam. More like a methapor maybe??
i get you garam but knowing that your lover of how many years (and someone you know even longer) only recently saw something that's easily noticeable, a literal wound that he himself inflicted on you, is an absolute punch in the gut. it's like he is there but never really present. it really shows how heejae only then 'sees' the trauma he actually caused, like he knows but never truly acknowledges
