you can say you don’t like the storyline or the characters. but it’s not written badly no matter how you view it? the symbolism, the flashbacks, the quotes; it’s all written SO well and is a beautiful story even if it isn’t necessarily morally correct. maybe if you actually used any sort of literary analysis and read this with your eyes open you would realise the stories depth, but nonetheless…
