My heart hurts for Lawrence, but he ended it first. I feel like instead of trying to seek out the lover that you rejected, you should move on and let her move on peacefully instead of clinging on after she gets married, also placing the life of his and her in danger bc he really doesn't know the king, he doesn't know what he would do to her and him if he caught them meeting up. In all I think Lawrence situation is sad and I can empathize but he's really being selfish... (Even though he initially pulled away from her to protect her) If that makes sense ;-;
