I think it's bcs garam is having a lot of insecurities about his relationship with prof (which is really valid), after all they have gone through, and this arc now feels like the begging of a storm, a trial that must go on ( what is going to happen when garam opens about his feelings and thoughts? What the aftermath is going to look like? When he knows damn well how prof is really reactive and knowing how his cruelty is an habit not a calculated move, well, at least, most of the time)

Exactly. I just hope they both manage to heal and find peace in the end.
