I lowkey have memory of a goldfish but the novel was pretty good!
The ML kidnaps the prince of the enemy country to keep as hostage since the rest of royal family is killed, so he gives the kid to his servants and FL ends up taking him bc she’s the only one with childcare experience. First part starts off with the ML being kind of aloof/cold and FL taking care and protecting of the kid, and kid gets so attached that he won’t let anyone else besides the fl hold him. After spending time with fl, ml ends up falling for her and throughout the rest of the novel, he is literally so down bad for, trying to protect her and marry her and what not. Fl uncovers secret to her birth and then it shifts to a more political stance of trying to make peace between the two countries so the prince doesn’t need to be killed.

Thanks for the spoilers. I just wanted to know who the hell is the ML i have been getting clickbaited into reading pedo plot, thinking I'm reading a normal plot. I can not stress enough how much I think I'm reading a child-caring story, then get fucking smacked with the pedo plot. Thanks for letting me know the child is not the ML; now i can fucking read in peace.
