I don't think so. Moscareto is the author, and they always team up with an illustrator. They write the story and have someone else do the art. So it's not based on a novel, but actively written in a manhwa format. The way I remember it, the creator's note from *Whispers Through the Willows* made it sound like Moscareto was adapting it from their own novel, but it's been so long that I can't be sure. Whereas the creator's note from *Punch Drunk Love* was very specifically "I'm writing this as we go." So I think that's how it's been for most of their stories. >.<
