Ugh it's really bothering me to read this so I'll say it as a short person myself..
It's actually a cute story like really cute and I've read it way before, I remember. And I understand why some ppl may not like this, the lil guy at times looks like a child but sometimes he looks fine. I mean we're talking highschool, there's def gonna be short to tall ppl.
I think one of the main problems is the artstyle or just the character desgin in general. In bed he looks so small but when he's standing or even walking along w the ML, he looks like age appropriate. There're always ways to make a short person look mature, or even realistic with minimal details, like long hair or just changing some body proportions ratio. Ughhh it annoys me as a artist too cause, I understand they mightve just wanted a cute story like this but the character desgins really nerf it cause it gives that very pedophilic indications to the audience but maybe it could've also been for what it is cause japan is like that.
