Hot take, but I actually really like works that queerbait or stay in that very grey area with its characters. I find it fascinating since it’s essentially exploring a relationship not bound by common labels, so things are a little more unpredictable. But this is assuming the author isn’t being weird about it and also just having fun with their characters.
If I want romance, I’ll go read romance. There’s no need for me to project what I think the author should be doing with their own work. Granted, it’s also very funny to see people jokingly saying “just bone already.” I understand that, too.

    A refreshing take. I honestly agree. I've seen people fight over being baited even in slow romance mangas.

    Agreed, people need to realise that some stories don't need any physical touching, their love for each other is just that strong it doesn't need showing (like Banana fish)
